15.4.2021: Sogeti Key Note Speech "Quality Engineering" auf dem ASQF Testing Day NRW

Testing in the digital age

This year's ASQF Testing Day North Rhine Westphalia will take place on April 15, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. under the motto "Testing in the Digital Age".

Key Note Speech, 1.10 p.m. - 2.05 p.m. CET

Quality engineering in the digital age… Why? How?

To continuously deliver IT systems at speed with a focus on business value, high-performance IT delivery teams integrate quality engineering in their way of working. Also teams use cutting-edge technology such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Quality engineering is the new concept in achieving the right quality of IT systems. Testing after an IT product was developed already was a thing of the past. But more is needed to guarantee the quality of applications that are delivered fast and frequent in today’s high-performance IT delivery models. The road to quality engineering means changes in terms of starting points, skills, organization and quality measures. But above all the adoption of new tools and possibilities.

In this presentation the audience will learn why a broad view on quality engineering is important and how quality engineering with state-of-the-art tools and CI/CD pipelines can be implemented to achieve the right quality of IT products, the IT delivery process and the people involved.*

3 key learning points

  • Quality engineering is the new concept aiming to deliver quality at speed
  • By measuring the right indicators the team supports confidence in achieving pursued value
  • By applying the proper quality measures and tools the team focuses on relevant activities.
