Madrid, December 10 2007

The fourth expo:QA, the leading Software Quality and Testing event in Spain, has achieved very positive results, recording a rise in attendance of 15% compared to previous years. Organised by SOGETI, a world leader in Software Control Testing, more than a 100 professionals from different industries gathered in Madrid from November 26-30th to present and hear about the latest practices and progress in the software world.

On the basis of these figures, expo:QA is now the national Spanish reference testing event and the key platform for professionals and experts in the sector to exchange knowledge and experience together with suppliers of solutions including IBM, Telelogic, IPL, Compuware, Borland and Visure.

The expo:QA conference provided the opportunity to hear from 21 experts, notably Scott Barber, Michael Bolton and Rob Baarda, all authors of several books about software testing, providing testing and business managers with a complete view of effective solutions available.

Delegates could also attend a series of courses given by experts with wide-ranging experience, covering subjects including the principles of performance testing, validation, verification and software testing, as well as the introduction of TMapNext, one of the most widespread testing methodologies. Expo:QA also included a large number of exhibitors from the software testing sector.

For the fourth year running, Expo:QA has become the unmissable event for people responsible for testing projects, quality managers, directors of software development and IT professionals interested in development and management processes in general. This result consolidates the event’s format and encourages us to continue both the sharing of knowledge and the debate on trends in the testing sector.

Raynald Korchia, Director of the Software Control and Testing Division, Sogeti Spain commented: “This year’s event has been a real success. We have had very positive feedback from delegates, on the variety and relevance of the conference presentations and the knowledge of the expert speakers. We hope to repeat the success in the future, as we consider it fundamental to create and maintain this network of people who are committed to software quality.”
