Sogeti’s global testing solution combines an international approach with local professional expertise
In response to the growing business demand for worldwide testing services, The Sogeti Group – the recognised thought leader in the international testing community - has announced that it will be bundling its network of local testing capabilities so that it can now offer a truly global managed testing service with an effective balance between local customer proximity and the operational excellence of standardisedoffshore test services.
As part of this strategy, Sogeti has recently reinforced its international test teams through new offices in the UK, Denmark and Ireland, the acquisition of inQA.labs in Spain at the end of last year, and the high-speed growth of offshore capacity. Sogeti now has 1,800 test professionals located close to clients in 13 countries across Europe and the USA, plus rapidly growing test centres in Europe and India.
This move will facilitate the management of high-volume contracts with onshore, nearshore and offshore testing services according to Hans van Waayenburg, CEO of Sogeti Europe and Head of Sogeti’s Worldwide Testing services. Clients will benefit from increased software quality, improved time to market and can, at the same time, save more than 30% of test-related costs.
Software failure is still an enormous cost for business – 90% of IT projects are delivered late, 66% are considered unsuccessful, 54% come in over budget and 30% are cancelled prior to completion[1] It is therefore small wonder that organizations increasingly partner with specialist test service providers – such as Sogeti - focused on minimising IT-related risks.
Hans van Waayenburg commented; “According to industry analysts[2], the global testing market is valued at $13 billion industry, of which around $6.1 billion is estimated to be outsourced. Being the largest test player in Europe and USA, and having developed the industry-leading methodologies - TMap® for test management and TPI® for test process improvement – we are extremely well positioned to take full advantage of this growth. I am convinced that, by strengthening our dominant position in testing, we can continue to provide our clients the quality they demand, within timeframes and provide value for money.”
